What is that quote again? The only thing in life that is unchanging is change itself.... or something similar. This last week marked a lot of ends to one thing and beginnings of another
- Kimi very succesfully finished kindergarten and is moving on to teach 1st grade next year
- I have had a change in my job which is really not that new but a change in location none the less
- I interviewed for a new position
Layna and Jonah both completed their year at daycare and will start at a new location in the fall..
I think this last change which is good on so many levels has brought the most tension and sadness to us as parents. Where Layna is so excited to be going to her new place with friends already established Kimi and I regretfully look at her current preschool and wish that we could send both our children there. It has been an awesome fit for Layna so far. She has learned some Japanese, made friends, eaten some great japanese food and been cared for. Her end of the year "graduation" was bittersweet for Kimi and I and mostly just sweet for her. Layna sang her heart out during her performance and stayed seated as she watched the older class graduate. We are so grateful for the time that she has spent there.
