wait for it....SURPRISE!!!

and what a surprise weekend this was. I was focused on one very awesome and dear to my heart surprise (baby shower for a good friend. garage sale scavenger hunt. food. decorations. you had to be there it was awesome!) while my other half was focused on a surprise that blew me away.

here are the facts:
 - I knew something was up, just not what
 - I saw that I needed to get things packed on Friday (but what about the kids?....)
 - I would be back for said friends baby shower I was assured

I dropped all pertinent baby shower items off at a friends house was blind folded and whisked an hour away (or so I thought) by car. I did get car sick and almost lose my dinner but it was worth it!

We had a lovely (7 year) anniversary together Awayyyyyyy! Without kids!!! without human alarm clocks that wake up and mouths to feed. It was FABULOUS! We slept, we walked, we read, we went and ate when we felt like it and then ate some more. I am truly impressed that K pulled this off. Took care of child care, took care of where to go and planned everything down to the last detail. Thanks to all friends who made this weekend possible. It was so wonderful. I did not get many pictures but K did get one of me enjoying the complimentary haagen das icecream. yum!
