Some of these are so obvious that I should have known them without having to learn them. But I'm a "doer" in all things and don't learn till I've done good and bad.
1. Kids really do not need toys to play with. It's a liberating feeling
2. It's amazing how much you can live without
3. Don't buy a house unless you are 100 percent sure that you want to be there for a minimum of 10 years, or unless you have money to burn and just want to see what it "feels like" to be a home owner.
4. Buying a house is easy. Selling it is one of the most stressful things that I've had to to do.
5. No matter how much you make there is never "enough" money. So learn to live on a lot less then you earn.
6. Turns out you can eat pasta 4 times a week and not get sick of it.
7. Times of great stress bring about moments of absolute concentration where I don't here the kids, the music playing or the phone.
8. God's will is a fluid thing that is not defined by one decision, action or feeling. It is something much greater and freer.
9. Praying is good for the soul. Being prayed for is feeling cared for.
10. Job satisfaction is very important
11. Running is also good for the soul and better when done with friends
12. Sun is important
13. Friends are so precious and saying goodbye is something that I can't think about.
14. Experiences that appear to be boring or "not what I want" at the beginning can be some of the most enriching experiences
15. Do not sell a house while being pregnant or a new mom unless you have a great support system, very high energy and preferably both.
16. I can look at all the places I've been in my life and say with confidence that God had work for us to do in each of those places. I will remind myself a lot of this fact in the next few months.
17. People's lives will not stop once I leave. I'm going to miss major life events and have to deal with that.
