It's been a while....

And while life is never boring, never adventure-less and full of ups and downs I could really use some times of peace.

Work has been one of the most incredibly exhausting and frustrating endeavors that I have ever been a part of, but we are if not professionally happy at least overall joyful, so why focus on the negative

As of late:

Jessica
 - Can't wait for summer break. As in is counting the days to summer break. sometimes the minutes and the hours
 - Is currently maybe (but who knows at this point) jobless for next year
 - Enjoying spending time with her parents
 - Missing her brother who was here for two weeks
 - Helped plan Koningsdag (Dutch Kings day) and has NEVER felt so Dutch or patriotic in her entire life
 - Really enjoying teaching her grade 6/7 health class. We're starting a food experiment!

Kimi
 - Also can't wait for summer break
 - Has taken "job" as TA (teachers association) president. (quotation marks b/c it's interim and b/c it has no benefits whatsoever)
 - Doubled his class size since moving to the new school location a month ago (his colleague found other more interesting opportunities)
  - Really enjoying soccer

Ayumi
 - has her first loose tooth (which caused her dad to tear up immediately)
 - Is very opinionated about what and what will not be put on her body. I can no longer choose this for her.
 - Needs to find a sport to be a part of as climbing the window for exercise is not only dangerous but also terrifying
 - has gone on some runs with her moms and needs to find "shade" because it's too hot (true seattelite at heart)
 - Is loving having Opa and Oma around
 - Got to be princess Arianne for Koningsdag with crown and dress and her own special breakfast table

Jonah
 - Has learned to dress himself which should be a milestone but often turns into a frustrated screaming almost three year old
 - Can charm the socks of anyone when he puts his mind to it
 - Can be extremely rude to anyone when he puts his mind to it
 - Can eat 5 bowls of Oatmeal for breakfast and still ask for "more"
 - Is very sports oriented. Very. Also needs a sports team
