Jonah is getting over a week long stomach bug and 5ths disease (slap cheek) at the same time. He convinced Janet to carry him (all 15 kg) on her back while she tended to him, cleaned, cooked etc. When I asked her how long moms actually carry babies on their back in Rwanda her answer was "until they are two"....Jonah, dear, you are no longer a baby....time to grow up.
Our water returned and left and returned in that order. Our pipe burst after six weeks without water causing flooding in our one functional bathroom. In a surprising twist of efficiency we were actually able to fix it on the same day and so now have water again. Thank goodness!
Ayumi's latest idea: We should fly our entire house including yard to Seattle. That way we have our house to stay in but are in Seattle "because I have better friends there and so they can come and visit me."
I can't wait to drink tap water!
