livin' on a prayer

Sometimes Bon Jovi just says it all. I've been belting this song out at the top of my lungs (much to the amusement and sometimes distress of my children) for the last while. "Woah! we're half way there, wo-hoa livin' on a prayer, take my hand we'll make it I swear, Wo-hoa living on a prayer" So granted the verses don't really speak to me but it's a rocking chorus to belt out. And very fitting. So though this time has been filled with too many tears and punching of pillows, and too many stressed out meetings, I know that IT WILL END!

There is one thing that Kimi and I keep coming back to in the midst of the craziness. We REALLY want to move to Kigali. That's about the only thing that we are sure of and feel good about. People will say that "everything else will fall into place". And yes, one way or another it will. But will it fall in shattered pieces or not is the question.

So on the the positives:

Kimi is so excited about teaching next year

I am so excited to be taking a nursing position next year at the same school Kimi's at that allows for both my kids (they are making an exception for Jonah to go early) to come to school and work with me. Truly and answer to some unspoken prayer.

We are excited about a more stable financial future.

We might get to squeeze in a trip to see my parents, brother, wife and nephew at the end of July

and before this gets too emotional for me, I'll end it with some pictures.
