Before we moved to Kigali I had running buddies. It made running easy. I also had more free time or put in a better way less time that I had to be at work. These buddies asked me to post pics of my run if I ever "got a regular running route". Now in all fairness I've run maybe a handful of times here. I always intend to go, but running here usually involves me getting up at 5 am to do it and as many can imagine there are MANY reasons to keep me in bed at 5 am. I have so far gotten up a total number of 3 times to do this and have managed to squeeze a few other runs in on the weekends. However, when I do make the sacrifice of getting up early, I am greatly rewarded. It's beautiful and most of all there is barely a person around. So as "regular" as this hand full of times makes me: here is my running route in my neighborhood:
Big breath to start off
The view at the end of our street
You can't see it but way on the horizon there is a guy running with his flip flops to go and get water. They must just wonder at me when they see my shuffling by :)
My hill that can be shortened or lengthened depending on desire
Home at last to start the day and get the kids ready
