I'm tired and jet lagged so you'll have to excuse this post. In fact it might be best skipped all together but I'm trying to stay awake and this is a means to an end.
I despise flying. Not because I'm scared, but because there isn't much to redeem it. You're stuck in a cramped space with food that isn't great. Okay, maybe the movies redeem it just a little but this last trip was bad for me. Incredibly bad.
We got stuck on the runway in Seattle for 4 hours due to "engine trouble". Finally made it out and I must have eaten something crappy at the airport because I spent the last three hours of the flight throwing up and with some horrible body chills. I knew I'd packed Zofran somewhere but couldn't for the life of me find it.
Get to Amsterdam and had missed our connecting flight. "No problem sir, we have booked you on the next flight to Nairobi 10 hours from now." So stuck in Schiphol all day.
One redeeming thing: I caved in and Kimi was a rock star. I checked into an airport hotel and slept for four hours. It was well worth it. The food poisoning was out of my system by the end aided by the Zofran that I finally found. Ended up arriving in Kigali through Nairobi an entire day late. Lost luggage at the airport and kids that are begging for water. Please mom please. I don't have any because of course the security checks are now right before the gate and there is nowhere to get water before you get on the plane. I really hate flying and I don't do well without sleep. At least we're here safe and sound. The kids were troopers. I was probably the biggest baby in the family this time around
Have I mentioned I hate jet lag?
The awesome hotel at Schiphol
Jet lagged me right before church today. 4 more hours and I can go to bed
