Maui Wowi

And we're back into the full swing of life here. Today I washed the final load of laundry and am happy to say the the swimsuits still smell like sunscreen which calls to mind wonderful stretches of beach, sand, water and windsurfing.

We had a wonderful time and though I wouldn't call it relaxing in the sense that I think of as pre kids (how can it be with 4 kids and 3 adults) I would definitely call it fun, adventurous, and a good getaway from it all. Since I do lists so well I'll give you a Maui List.

- Who knew that Jonah so scared of getting in the pool would love boogie boarding to an obsessive degree

 - The flight I was most afraid of (home night flight with Jonah as a lap child) was by far the best flying experience with kids that I've had. Jonah slept in the storage area under the chair and layna slept on my lap.

 - Melt downs are exponentially louder with 4 kids and usually shorter

 - I wish I was a professional kite surfer or wind surfer. It looked awesome

 - I am thankful for a wonderful "traveling family" in the Ibsens. Layna let me know multiple times that she would rather be with them then me during our stay.

 - It is possible for a couple of adults to go through a 24 pack of beer, a bottle of rum and half a bottle of gin.

 - I loved our condo right on the water with grass, pool, and bbq.

 - almost 2 year old boys running around in diapers in the sun are really really cute

 - our catch phrase from belize "ali babba one stop shop" got an addition. "Maui wowi"

 - who knew that there was so much sugar cane farming there?
